Infusion spirals are a fast, simple way to extract oak aroma and flavour without the price of a barrel — easy to drop into a carboy or bottle, and easier to remove than filtering out chips.

The medium toast level is the most versatile oak profile: it retains noticeable tannin structure from the raw wood, while heat treatment develops vanilla, caramel and light spice notes.

This is the starting point most distillers use before experimenting with heavier char.
