A pale, hazy gluten free Belgian Witbier homebrew kit styled after the famous Belgian classic Hoegaarden, brewed on a sorghum malt base that makes it truly gluten free and suitable for coeliacs. Subtle and spicy in character, with the distinctive citrusy warmth of orange peel and the gentle earthiness of coriander woven through a soft, refreshing wheat beer base, this kit delivers a flavour profile that is immediately recognisable to anyone who has sat down with the original. Makes 18 litres per can. Note this is a smaller batch size than the other kits in the ESB Gluten Free range.
Everything needed to brew is included in the one can, with a Safbrew Wheat WB-06 yeast selected specifically to give the beer the authentic Witbier character it deserves. The WB-06 brings the light spicy and fruity esters that define the style and set it apart from a standard pale ale. Serve it cold and slightly hazy in a wide glass, and it is genuinely difficult to tell this is a home brewed gluten free beer rather than something you picked up from a Belgian bottle shop.
