A Cream Stout fresh wort kit from Neighbourhood Brewing Co — a Newcastle-founded craft brewery that has been quietly filling home fermenters across Australia with seriously good beer. This limited release is a proper winter stout: dark, smooth, and built around lactose and rolled oats that give it the full-bodied, silky mouthfeel and creamy head that the style is famous for.

The grain bill combines with Warrior and East Kent Goldings hops to deliver flavours of caramel, spice, dark chocolate, and biscuit across a beer that is rich without being heavy and complex without being difficult. It pours dark, smells incredible, and tastes like someone who genuinely knows what they are doing brewed it — because they did. OG 1.070, IBU 31, EBC 77.

This is a limited edition release and stock is finite, so grab it while it is in. Fresh Wort Kits are available instore or via local delivery only. Yeast and yeast nutrient are not included in the kit price — pick them up when you grab the wort. Makes 20 litres.

Yeast Recommendations: Mangrove Jack's M15 Empire Ale and Mangrove Jack's Beer Yeast Nutrient.

Hop Recommendations: No dry hop recommendation — this kit is all about the malt.

Brewing Instructions

  • Pour fresh wort from the bladder into a clean and sanitised fermenter. 
  • Add 5 litres of water to bring volume to 20 litres. 
  • Aerate, pitch Mangrove Jack's M15 Empire Ale yeast and Yeast Nutrient.
  • Once fermentation is complete, bottle condition or keg.
