Brew a rich, roasty Old style dark beer at home with this Beermakers 1.7kg extract can. Deep in chocolate character, built on a solid roasted grain backbone, and carrying a full malty warmth that earns its keep long after the last mouthful, this is the kind of dark beer that rewards you for slowing down and actually tasting what is in the glass rather than rushing past it. It is substantial without being heavy, and complex without being fussy. Makes 23 litres per can.

If you are familiar with Tooheys Old, you already know the flavour territory this kit is working in, and it holds its own without apology. Versatile enough to brew straight as a classic Old style, or use it as a solid dark malt base to build your own porter or dark ale around with specialty grains and additional hops. Either way, this one earns its fermenter time.
