Made from 304 grade stainless steel, this heated fermenter features dual element control switches, a stainless steel ball valve tap and an automatic reset switch.

Fermentation temperature is one of the most important variables in producing quality neutral spirit.

Yeast has an optimal temperature range — too cold and fermentation stalls or slows, producing incomplete fermentation and lower yield.

Too warm and the yeast becomes stressed, producing excess congeners and off-flavours that carry through into the distillate.

Most sheds and garages in Australia swing well outside the ideal 18–24°C range depending on the season. The heated fermenter solves this by maintaining consistent temperature regardless of ambient conditions. The dual element control switches provide precise power control — both switches on gives full power at 2200W for quick heating; one switch off drops to 1100W for maintaining temperature.

Adjusting the power is useful in areas with warmer tap water for cooling.

1. Clean and sanitise fermenter before use.

2. Prepare wash and fill to required level.

3. Set thermostat to desired fermentation temperature.

4. Ferment per your chosen yeast instructions.

5. Drain via ball valve when fermentation is complete.
