Still Spirits EZ Carbon Filter Replacement Cartridge

The carbon cartridge is the heart of the EZ Filter — this is what actually removes impurities from your distilled spirit.

The cartridge is packed with a specially formulated blend of carbons with pore sizes chosen specifically for purifying distilled alcohol.

As spirit passes through, impurities and off-flavours are adsorbed onto the carbon surface — they bond to the carbon and stay there, while the cleaned spirit passes through.

Each cartridge has a finite capacity: once saturated with impurities, it can no longer adsorb effectively.

This is why cartridges are single-use — one per batch from a 25 litre still, or 300 litres of water.

Reusing a spent cartridge means filtering with no effective carbon, which gives the appearance of filtration without the result.
