All the flavour. A fraction of the regret. This is your session ale.

A fresh wort kit for brewing a Session Ale at home that proves you do not need high ABV to have a genuinely great beer. The Sabre is a full-flavoured ale with tropical fruit notes of passionfruit and pineapple sneaked into a lighter, lower-alcohol body — the kind of beer that tricks you into thinking you are drinking something more indulgent than you are, until you look at how many you have had.

Session ales are the workhorses of the homebrew world: easy to drink, crowd-pleasing, and ready faster than bigger styles. This is the kit you brew when you have an event coming up, a group of people coming over, or simply a desire to keep the fermenter busy without committing to a heavy beer. It is approachable, tropical, and exactly as drinkable as it sounds.

Yeast not included. Makes 20 litres. FWKs are available instore or via local delivery only.

Brewing Instructions

Step 1: Decant the fresh wort into a clean and sanitised fermenter.

Step 2: Add 5 litres of water to bring the total volume to 20 litres.

Step 3: Take a sample of your wort and use a hydrometer to measure the original gravity.

Step 4: Aerate the wort and pitch your yeast.

Step 5: If dry hopping, add your
hops when fermentation is nearly complete. Leave for no more than 3 days.

Step 6: Once fermentation is complete, cold crash or transfer directly to bottles or a keg for conditioning.

Step 7: Enjoy responsibly.

Note: Adding water is optional.
Skipping this step will produce a beer with a higher ABV and a lower yield.
