Crisp, clean, and built for those days when the sun has no mercy.

A fresh wort kit for brewing a light-bodied, easy-drinking Mexican-style lager at home. All Inn Brewing Co have taken everything that makes a classic Mexican cerveza so crushable — the clean pale malt base, the delicate floral and citrus hop character, the razor-sharp finish — and packaged it up as a ready-to-ferment kit that does not ask much of you at all.

This kit produces 20 litres of refreshing lager-style beer that pairs perfectly with warm weather, good company, and absolutely no responsibilities. It is the kind of beer that disappears fast and leaves everyone asking if there is another one going.

Yeast and hops are not included — pick them up when you grab the kit. FWKs are available instore or via local delivery only due to their weight. Makes 20 litres.

Our Yeast Recommendations

To nail  that crisp, clean finish you'll want to use a lager yeast:

  •  Lallemand Nova Lager
  • California Lager yeast Perfect for smashing after mowing the lawn, pairing with tacos, or pretending you're on holiday when you're just in your backyard.

Heads Up Brewers

FWK's are heavy and expensive to ship - they are only available in-store, online order for local delivery or pick up in-store.

Brewing Instructions

Step 1: Decant the fresh wort into a clean and sanitised fermenter.

Step 2: Add 5 litres of water to bring the total volume to 20 litres.

Step 3: Take a sample of your wort and use a hydrometer to measure the original gravity.

Step 4: Aerate the wort and pitch your yeast.

Step 5: If dry hopping, add your hops when fermentation is nearly complete. Leave for no more than 3 days.

Step 6: Once fermentation is complete, cold crash or transfer directly to bottles or a keg for conditioning.

Step 7: Enjoy responsibly.

Note: Adding water is optional. Skipping this step will produce a beer with a higher ABV and a lower yield.
