Gelatine Beer Finings 5g | Beer clearing agent for home brewers
Got a cloudy brew and want it clear? This is your fix.
Gelatine beer finings grab onto the yeast and protein still floating around in your beer and drag it all down to the bottom of the fermenter or keg, so what's left in your glass is bright and clear instead of hazy.
Use it at the end of fermentation, or chuck it straight into the fermenter or keg once you're ready to package.
Don't just tip the powder in dry though — dissolve it in hot (not boiling) water first, let it sit for 10–15 minutes to "bloom," then stir it in gently. Give it 24–48 hours and you should see a real difference, quicker again if you're cold-crashing.
Each pack is sized for a standard 23L batch. Works nicely alongside a hot-side fining like Irish moss too — that one deals with the big stuff during the boil, this one does the fine polish at the end.
One thing to know: it's made from gelatine, so it's not vegetarian or vegan friendly.
